Outreach and Fellowship
Our Outreach Ministry provides fun, food, and fellowship to all. St Paul currently offers these benefit events:
Annual Pancake & Sausage Dinner - March 3rd
BBQ Chicken Dinner - September
Soup Lunch - October
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUTREACH:
• Bishop Holloway's "Roll Away the Stone" offering. During the Easter season, you have the opportunity to give an offering to help raise $50,000 to get Faith Trek up and going for 2013. Faith Trek is a program headed by the bishop and Gary Pecuch to train young people to be leaders - whether pastors or lay - in the Lutheran church. Pastors are asked to nominate an outstanding freshman or sophomore high school student. The last class, which included Rebecca Shreffler, graduated in 2010. If you want to know more about Faith Trek, ask Rebecca, her mentor, Vicki Neff or... we're sure the bishop will be glad to speak to you about it! Mark your envelope "Faith Trek."
• ELCA Malaria Campaign: Mosquito nets and education are making a dent in malaria deaths, according to a recent report from the World Health Organization (WHO). Treated nets are $10 apiece. We would like to raise money for the campaign now through May. Mark your envelope "ELCA Malaria Campaign." The Women of the ELCA also have a "nickels for nets" campaign going as well as their pennies for the Red Eye Women.
• Southwest Ohio is still recovering from the tornadoes that tore through the area on March 2. Here are some ways we can help. School supplies: Send to Clermont County EMA; Thomas Wildey Elementary School, 2040 State Route 50, Batavia, OH 45103.
•Diapers, all sizes: Send to your local Red Cross Chapter
